Robert Irwin Presents
Robert Irwin is not only an incredible artist, he’s an amazing lecturer. Today I was presented with this incredible video; a somewhat recent talk he did at the University of Virginia. His very humble words offer such rich insight into the history of modernism. I would be hard-pressed to think of someone else with his level of experience and wisdom in the visual arts.
10 GUI
Miller presents a very cool clip about (sorta) new ideas in OS GUI design. This, I hope, is the sort of thing we will be using in the next couple of years. Beyond that, I think advancements in AR will alter the course of GUI paradigms beyond the limits of the screen. This being said, I still would like a drafting table ;)
Canvas Element
The new canvas element is html 5 looks very cool. With it you can create an instant space to draw graphics with scripting languages (javascript). A [sorta] new medium for the digital artist.
